Default Removing plastic on Z400

What is the best way to remove the front plastic and gas tank without messing up the plastic fastners? Do I even need to remove all that to rejet? I've never done any jetting so I'm just assuming I need to take all that stuff off to get at the carb. If I do need to take it all off what is the best way to get the fastners out without damaging them? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Push the center in on those little plastic clip, then pull the whole thing out. I don't think you have to remove the front plastic to rejet, just the rear fender and the snorkel.

Thanks for the info on the plastic clips!! I would of just pried the little bastards out!! I did have to remove the front plastic and the tank to get the carb out though. Replaced the needle and put a 150 main in, everything seems to be good, started right up and idles fine. Can't wait to put the pipe on and take it for some testing!!!

For the main jet, I just unhook the gas line and twist the carb top towards the right side so the bowl is facing the left side. Then just unscrew the bowl screws and you're there. Piece of cake.

I thought about doing that but I had to replace the needle also, so it made it a little easier to remove everything. It wasn't that bad once I figured it out.

The carb will come out without removing the tank.
