I'm wanting to get some sand tires for my 02 raptor. Not sure which is better between the v-shape tires and the straight tires. I'm also curious about how many paddles. Looking at previous post it seemed to me like 8 was the best for a close to stock raptor. Any reccomendations?

 

I had some V paddles for a long time and wanted some new ones so I bought extrme haulers. I HATE THEM!!!!!!!! I heard you can't turn as well, trust me its true. Now this is just my opinon and I like to ride more than race so don't let just my opinon influence your decision.

 

do you plan on lining up and racing all the time or playing around what kind of sand
any mods?

 

I thought sand was sand. I ride around in colorado and wyoming. I might race sometimes but most of the time just hill climb and play around

 

That is the first time I have heard someone not like straight paddles.

I love the hauler tires, and will never run anything but a straight paddle.

Thats my opinion, I ride all over the place, and only drag race for fun.

I have the dune tracker fronts, the solid ridge down the middle. Size might be a part of the problem [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] They are 20x10x10 w/10 paddles.

 

go with the 8" rim ride and dig soo much better

 

I run sand sharks for now, they seem to work pretty well. But I would also like to have a set of haulers on wheels so I can swap to test drag times.
