Default PLEASE Help with 1999 trail blazer 250

Hey I really could use some help with my 99 poilaris trail blazer 250 right now. The chain came off earlier today and I put it back on. It is insanely loose and I need to tighten it. I have followed all the instructions in the book. Now I am trying to figure out where to put the punch or screw driver to tighten the chain. I stuck it through the tinyest hole on the sprocket closest to the axle and pulled the atv back like the instructions said. It snapped my punch in half and didn't tighten? I am completely lost. Also, pics would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help!

If your brake caliper is on the rear axle, you must loosen the (2) 1/2 inch bolts on the bottom side to release the concentric. other than that and loosening the actual carrier bolts, it will turn just fine.Bubba

Could you explain where those two bolts are at?

OK, you have 2 bolts that hold the actual caliper onto a thick aluminum bracket on the left side of the swingarm. That bracket is split 2 pieces top and bottom. The 2 half-inch headed bolts go up from the bottom half into the top half. You must loosen these just a little bit after the 2 large bolts to allow the concentic to turn. I have been in a hurry before and forgot to loosen them myself, and it just doesnt want to budge without loosening them.Hope this helps better,Bubba
