I am hearing a faint ratling noise from my 99 Scrambler. It's coming from the right side aroung where the front sprocket is, I assume it's the tranny. Anyone experience anything like this?

Have 00 500 scrambler 2 hrs on it noticed loud whinning noise from tranny. Has no fluid due to cracked case up to the spocket. Never hit anything to cause it

My 2000 Xplorer 250 is making a noise clicking from it seems the front sprocket area, if it needs a new tranny someone else will own it soon afterwards, mine goes in the shop tomorrow. I am hoping it is minor. but I have a feeling might be bad.
