URGENT!!! Kawasaki 650 vs. Grizzly 660
#1
I'm buyying a new atv and can't decide which to buy: the kaweaski 650 or grizzly 660. I already have a kawasaki 400. if anyone has any pros or cons for both or a comparrison between both it would really be appreciated.

It basically comes down to if you want independant rear suspension or sport-like swingarm set-up.

I am very new to this forum, but am seriously interested in buying an ATV in the coming months. I have the same questions as OldManMuller!!! Prairie or the Grizz??
I have read that the IRS is not good sideways on hills and can tip easily. My ATV will be primarily used for hunting and misc. work around my property (plowing, grass cutting, etc.)
The Grizz looks tough, but want something with alot of power and dependability. All you experts out there can certainly help us rookies out!!

Well the Grizz has lots of power, and it may be tippy, but that's due to its narrow stance. IRS keeps the quad more level in uneven terrain. The p650 has the best power out there, and if you're just doing work than i think you don't realy need IRS.

Well said Firehawk!
As for reliability, both machines are excelent.
I absolutely love my machine and can't wait to take this baby hunting as it is incredibly quiet compared to other big bores in it's class.
Good luck on you decision!

I was going through the same thing a couple months ago. I owned Polaris before and have ridden a lot of different makes and models. I went and looked and sat on the different machines. They are all nice, but I liked the Grizzly the best, that's just me though. Every manufacturer has it's problems, so it all comes down to personal preference, buy what fits your needs and wants and you shouldn't reget it. As for my Grizz I love it and have had no problems so far. It has a great ride, a lot of power, and is pretty stabe for it's size. You can't go wrong with either the Grizz of Prairie 650.
