Who makes the best pistons for a 2 stroke. Im concerened with reliability, and I want a compression that runs 93 octaine while making good power. While im at it, whats the cheapest brand of out of frame pipes, such as drag pipes for a banshee?

What atv? If it is a windowed piston, go with wiseco. If it is cutaway, go with Pro-x. You don't just buy a piston with a bigger dome to increase compression for a two-stroke like you do for a 4-stroke. If you modify the angle of the dome, it will screw with the way it runs and can cause hot spots and other problems. All you can do is cut the deck down to make the combustion chamber smaller.

You won't find a cheap drag pipe. If a company goes through the hours of dyno testing and pipe building, they aren't going to sell them very cheap. That means cheap pipes aren't as good. Unless you are building a drag only bike, you are better off with inframes such as toomeys, pro circuits, etc.

I have heard CPI pipes are some really good pipes that are like the toomey t5s but when you put in the serious money for the big mods, they keep on giving

CPI's are supposed to make a lot more power than T-5's. I'll know later this week!

Im putting an RD engine in my warrior frame. RD is an air cooled banshee engine with 28mm carbs and 39hp stock with NO expansion chambers. My choices are put some stock pipes on there that I can do whatever I want with beacase there are no chambers, or fit some banshee pipes on there and have around 50+ hp. I looked at the CPIs and they arent too expensive. I wouldnt be getting the drag ones though, I need silencers. I would be getting the regular CPI out of frame pipes. How much power is compression worth on a banshee engine? in other words, if I have 53-58 with pipes and all (adding expansion chambers when you had none would be a big boost, DG claims theirs add 13hp), what would I have with something like 10.75:1 compression?

BTW, im not choppin on my RD, I bought a spare engine on ebay, God knows I wouldnt rip my babies heart out.
