Does anyone know if the the dealer will warr. my trans if I have an extended warr. The trans seems to be ok but reverse is flakey sometimes and second gear is a bit*h to find at times.

Default Warranty??

Prolly not cause they know they have problems. The dealers are stupid they will do anything to keep from paying out money to customers let alone fixing anything.

Default Warranty??

I cancelled my warranty and got my money back. Nothing was ever Yamaha's fault. You are better off getting insurance from Progressive and running it down a steep hill in the event your tranny goes. I took the soft approach and the a-hole approach with Yamaha with no luck on a few problems.

Default Warranty??

to date my extended warranty has covered a blown front shock, seat cover, starter gears, complete tranny, valves, keepers and seals, they even coverd the clutch plates(got the new heavy duty pack).

I don't know for sure, maybe it is just my dealer being good to me, but the last was the tranny, clutches, and valves, they also put on a new clutch cable while they had it. My out of pocket expense was only 73 dollars total................

Tell them of all of the good stories about stuff being covered, and be persisten, let them know that you did spend a big chunk on the quad, and will continue to come to them, but that they have to earn your business, and treat you right.....

Good luck.....

Default Warranty??

How much is Yamahas extended warranty are there different lengths of warranties ??? And finally are they worth it......

I ended up canceling my warranty on the 400ex which proved to be a wise decision as it payed for all of my engine mods

Thanks

Default Warranty??

My dealership covered my tranny failure in 2001. Went down to the dunes in Oregon on 2/8 and noticed second gear startes acting up again. Will be taking it in soon.
