reverse rev limiter
#2
Buy the kit off EBAY for like $15. I did. It comes with a lighted switch so you can turn the reverse rev limiter on or off when you want to. This is good if you let anyone else ride your quad (liability, safety).
Basically what you are doing is grounding the wire. It comes out of the engine down by the shifter. It goes into the engine with a black plastic L-shaped connector. Just do a search for "reverse bypass" or something like that and you will find alot of posts about how, exactly, to accomplish this.
But my opinion, buy the kit. You can always tell people that the blue switch is your "Nitrous Arming Switch". Or your "Turbo-injection Booster Switch". They won't know what the hell you're talking about, but they will think "That's pretty cool dude."

Airraptor - the '01s do not have the rev limiter for reverse. The '02-'03s do. It limits the rpms just like if you had the parking brake on. It is really annoying. That is why some people wish to rid themselves of this restriction.

Thanks for the info. My buddy is who I was asking for. We get in muddy situations alot where he needs more tire speed than it will give him in reverse. He said he will be trying to get the kit to eliminate the limiter.
