im a bout to buy a new atv, ive owned 4 polarises and 1 yamaha, i really like polaris and think thats what ill go with . if any body has any good pointers on this atv let me know, plus is the extended warranty worth it? one dealer says its crap & another says its real good, if anyones had experience with an extended warranty let me know. thanks.

The best extended warranty is to get you a good service manual and some tools. Most warranties are junk only ones that arent are the ones that have a very good dealer behind them that will fight with the company that holds the warranty..

i have the tools & do all of my own maitenace, {engine rebuilds etc.} so maitenance isnt a problem, but if something bad happened, like a fried motor or cracked transmission, i thought it would be cool if polaris would cover it. also does the 03 scrambler 500 4x4 wheelie well? how high, & at what speed is it possible to get the front end to rise. thanks.

Supposedly most people can get the machine off the ground well and keep great balance. My machine has a clutch kit but i cant really get it up, this might be cuz i only weigh 130 lbs, or im just not trying hard enuff. Once i do manage to get it up tho its really easier to keep it up and i can get it back to the grab bar. I didnt go with the warranty and i didnt know very much about the machine. I havent bought a manual yet but i will soon. Its worth the warranty if u dont want to get your hands a little dirty but if u dont want to get dirty theres no point in havin a machine. Have fun!!

I have had mine for a little over a week. I have a 2003 scrambler 500. Its completly stock except for a fmf megamax pipe. I can ride a "wheelie" from a dead stop as far as i want to. As far as ridding one from a get go thats a little bit trickier. I love mine and as far as "wheelies" i can dothem no problem.
