Ocotillo Wells 27th thru 2nd.

Well I have been giving it some thought and I figure I have been to Dumont a million times this year and I still haven't went riding with Dave and Larry at OC Wells yet. It sounds like it is going to be a pretty neat weekend down there. And maybe I can convince Larry and Dave to do a day trip to Glamis or maybe even Gordon's well. So if anyone is interested on going I will have some room. Hey Larry, had me a Czech chick the other night and she looked like Julia Roberts! WOW!! Tell you about next weekend. Later.

The family and some friends will be there that week end. We camp on the back side of blow sand kind of out of the way. If my bike is back together by then it will be there if not the boys will be tearing it up again and I be on the wifes trail boss. It don't give me what I want but I keep up with the kids some what. If you all are in the area stop by it would be kool to put faces to names. What kind of riding is there at the salton city area. I've riden in Borrego springs just past the air port and it's nice and peacefull.

The ridding is mostly Sand washes that wind through wide to narrow canyons. There are also some Hills to climb that the Jeep clubs have beeen kind enough to etch out for us. We also ride over to Ocatillowells and ride over there as well. It's only about a 5Min + ride from where we camp. I remember in another thread someone talking about Blow Sand. I understand that is some distance from the Ocatillowells entrance that we enter from when we go on our rides. Can we make it from that entrance to Blow Sand and back on a tank of fuel?

Sand washes, desert terrain, hills etc. We take rides over to the northern entrance into Ocotillo wells. To far to go to get to where you'll be at.

So about 10 miles then as the bird flys. Surly there is a trail or two or three that connects the north from the south. Sounds like a new adventure brewing to me.

Eagle...I was there at XMAS. Had a blast...lots & lots of trails. We camped right off S22 by your black dot, South of the big water tank where you are camping. We rode the "Cross Over Trail" from there to "Blow Sand". Yes, it's about 10 miles...bitchin' road IF you like DESERT riding. It's rough, whoops, sand washes, etc, not much time to sit down... did I mention Bitchin' trail?? All the trails are marked @ Ocotillo, EXCEPT where you need to get on the cross over trail from S22. Send me a PM and I can explain to you how to find it. Attached is a link for the area...scroll down to find "The Map". I will be there again for 6 days @ XMAS. Have Fun
