Thanks for the very cool site with the map of the area. That will help a lot. I have herd of many of the area shown on the map but never been to them. We are actually camped about another 10 miles dead north of the s22 Country road entrance to North Ocotillo Wells. We enter the desert off of 86s at N. Marina drive. PM is on it's way. Thanks again racrdude.

Eagle...I forgot to mention....BE CAREFUL on S22. We turned off the the main highway onto S22 and started too hook it...the problem was the Road turned into 1'-2' whoops on the Pavement just a mile or so from the main highway...nothing like getting that 31' class C airborne...Kids...TV...Dishes flyin' around inside.....oops ( I wished that day it was a rental )
I wish I was going with you guys...that place ROCKS!!
PS...When you are sitting on top of Blow Sand Hill (paddles not needed), look to the east and you will see a "Sand Roller Coaster" right next to Blow Sand...right there on the side of the mountain...WAY too much fun.

racerdude, we don't actualy come in on S22. We camp just north of it and enter off 86S via North marina drive. We take a 10 minute ride from camp and cross over S22 to the entrance of ocotillo wells. Your PM to my brother and this map has been a great help to us. This will be a fun family ride to the other end of Ocotillo wells.

If you don't need to stay in Ocotillo Wells "proper" (by the ranger station) about 10 miles east there is a place called the "Blue Inn" It is a burger joint with Gasoline, few supplies, etc. There is camping on either side of the 78 there. This puts you about 10 miles west of the 86 and 10 miles east of the Ranger station. From here it is a nice ride to any of the major attractions. It also gives you a shorter ride over to Superstition which is a nice diversion. Another benefit of heading east from Ocotillo is the crowds thin out quite a bit. Makes it really nice for those times when the whole family is along.

What happened Sam? Are you OK? Hope you find an a-arm soon. I know The Salton Sea area is a long way for you to go, but it would be great if you could make it. How long is SixsixT going to be at glamis?
