500HO 4x4 Noise

Default 500HO 4x4 Noise
Can anyone tell me how to check the front drive on a 2001 HO. I have a knocking sound when AWD kicks in. Can I check the Universals without taking it apart, what do I look for on the drive?

with just your descricption I would tell you to check your cv's look for the tell tale signs like ripped boot and grease. then check your universals they shouldn't have any slop to them good luck
