Does anyone have any good information on tire grooving? I am wondering how many grooves to cut, how deep, what angle, etc. This will be on American racer flattrack tires.

Any help is appreciated.

Grooving really depends on the track. A loose dusty track you need to cut wide grooves on a wet track you need narrow grooves. The rest is personal prefferance but if you can send me a pic of the track like an action shot I will try to help you.

 

I run on 3 different tracks. The one I will be running on next is a very hard track when it comes in. I am running the American Racer's front tires. I was wondering if I need a steep angle on the grooves I put in them, or go parallel to the grooves they already have in them. PM me with your E-mail and I can send you a pic of the tire.
