Extending TRX90 swing-arm

Extending TRX90 swing-arm
I was about to extend the swing-arm on one of our TRX90's when I realized that the foot brake cable will be too short. Any ideas on how to extend the cable or if one from another Honda might work? Would 3" be too much of an extension or should I only go 2"?
