I would guess the 250x is faster as well. I think the 250ex might be easier to ride with the auto clutch and easy to use reverse gear. Plus you can get a brand new 250ex or close to it but they haven't made the 250x in a long time.

I've ridden both and the warrior is faster (on the top end anyways) but the 300ex handles better and is lighter. They both have reverse and both come with balloon tires. In defense of both quads the ones I've ridden were very old and they both seemed like dogs to me but they could have needed new top ends.

Warrior has more power, 300EX handles better. I would have to say that the 300EX is probably more reliable. Both have reverse, both are a littel quirky to engage in reverse, the 300 being worse. Warrior has a horrible filter system, so you must replace it with a pro flow. The warrior's tranny is a little notchier, harder to shift under power, sometimes finding neutral between shifts. I would get the Warrior if I was bigger than 6 foot, smaller, go with the 300ex

If they are both in good shape and well maintained it may come down to rider. If your the better rider show him who's faster. Honestly the quads aren't miles apart in performance which ever one of you guys is a faster rider is going to have bragging rites. If one was the clear cut winner but the other guy was faster you would have a tough time convincing the faster rider the other quad is better even if it is.
