LT80 is the expert here. I just sent him my motor and it is fast! I think the key is the proper mix of mods as a whole. Not just slapping together one thing after another.

The reed cage mod is pretty simple, after you remove it, you will see it tapers down a lot from the opening, take a dremel or die grinder and open the back up so it is more even with the front, you can take down the divider a little, but don't take it out. While it is apart, replace the stock steel reeds with some nice fiber reeds, really picks up the throttle response. After opening up the reed cage and putting a pipe on, I had to go up 5 jet sizes, it flows that much better !! If you are really serious about getting the most out of the motor, have it worked on professionally, by someone who knows the right things to do to bring out all the performance this motor has.

The only clutch mod that will do much is removing 2 of the 6 front clutch rollers. This will improve the take-off. I feel any other clutch mod isn't needed till you have a motor to make them work.
Those tires indeed fit on,but are not recommended by me. They are just too big and will increase the chance of breaking the cases.
You may or may not feel any effect with a new reed (I have them). Like 95 wolv said: open the reed cage up a lil, blend the bottom corners and make the top look like a double hump camel
Jetting is allways a variable,do a plug check white=needs more,,,black=needs less
Have fun
