suspension
#1
I need to get new suspension for my 400 and i was wasn't sure what to get. I want to leave the stock type for my last option. Whatever is the best is what I want. I know hotseat has a setup but not sure how great that is. I also know that works performance sells struts for the scramblers. thanks for the imput.

I do not know if they carry Scrambler shocks, but progressive suspension has a pretty good set. You can get them to be soft to start with then stiffen as they go, so they do not bottom out. They also seem to have good prices. Hope this helps.

I had the works struts on my last scrammy before I traded it for the predator. It really improved the front end. It actually makes you want to ride faster. Whoops were great, and 40ft. tables were soaked up with ease. The only complaint is that the fronts were so good, that you almost need to revalve or replace the rear shock for the machine to match up, otherwise it feels like the back end is packing through whoops. PEP can revalve and respring for around $300 I understand, or a works quadstar w/ resevoir would help to, but that may be more $$$ than you want to spend.

Works Performance struts, PEP rear rebuild, HD spring all the way around.
Also tighten up you steering with upper and lower support blocks, do not use Polaris, get the aluminum aftermarket ones (HSP).
Who has the front struts with remote reseviors? I've never hear of such a thing. Are you sure they are not HDP's shocks for their custom frame that converts the front to a double A-arm/shock suspension?
If they are struts I'm interested in finding out more about them.
