Default scrambler 500 exhaust

Does any know what the differnce is in installing a muffler"aaen megaphone muffler"or a complete exhaust system"from the mototr all the way back"I was told the h.p. upgrade would be the same.If this is true why would I want to spend the extra $$ on a complete system????

Confused

I installed the white bros silencer, no pipe change. The bike sounds better and has a noticeable power increase. From what I have seen, the pipe is just a waste of money.

I installed the whole HPD Powermaxx system. I can tell you that the new pipe is almost twice as large as the stock. So, it definately flows better. Plus it looks trick with the nickel plating. I dont know what kind of gains that I got out of it, because I havent been able to take it out yet. I could definately feel the improvment in bottom end torque just by reving it though.
