Default alky burners help!!

I purchased a 38mm air styker off the internet used when I got it it soon became obvious that it was set up for alcohol.I'm know I can replace the main+pilot jets and the needle to run gasoline. My qestion is does anyone think the emulsion tube (the brass insert the needle goes in) is compadible for running gas? From the looks of it ,it is not replacable. Also does anyone think I need a different throttle valve (slide)?Any help would be appriciated.

The dump tube on the Keihins isn't replaceable, so if it has been converted to alky, it has been drilled out. Usually the needle has a different taper on it also. Does it have a booster jet on it?

I might be interested in it if you want to get rid of it.

Default alky burners help!!

When I looked at the main jet it looked to me like it was way to big, thats why I thought it was setup for alcohol.I half azzed measured the dump tube with a drill bit and compared it to my stock carb,as near as I can tell they are the same.I'm thinking I can get it dialed in with a mainjet, pilot jet+a new needle.I guess my only last question is do I have to change the slide? It doesn't look like it has been filed or anything.I don't know the size designation of the slide but I can look when I'm at work today. Thanks for the replies.

I don't know why you would have to change the slide unless someone has tried to modify the cutaway.

P.S. I thought about a lectron but I have like $200 worth of keihin main+pilot jets.Besides it took me the last 7 years of trying different parts and jetting to get good with those kinds of carbs(I'm a slow learner)I don't know anything about a lectron other than it uses some kind of adjustable deal instead of replaceable jets.

yeah its adjustable, ask mike about it, he has mine down to a science, I think they would be ideal for a four-stroke, like his raptor.
