Default LT250R Lighting

I recently bought a '90 LT250R. This was set up more for racing and the headlight had been removed. I will be using this more for trail riding and was wondering if a standard 12 volt set of driving lights can be used. If so, how should this be wired? I was going to mount this somewhere on the frame so I could have some light in the evening.

Yes you can use 12 volt car lights, make sure they don't pull to many watts. You probably will need a voltage regulator also. There are 2 wires coming out of the stator for lighting if I'm right, those need to be ran into the regulator, then to the lights. I'd suggest either a set of Ricky Stator Lazer lights, or a stocker off of ebay. I looked for a nice mounting spot for some aftermarket and decided to go with the stocker, it mounts on the handle bar so I also like the capabilities of seeing where I pointed instead of where the quad is faced. Good luck

I've seen some fog lights mounted in the right place look good on a quad, and they can be picked up at any auto parts store for $30-$50. They also give off a pretty good amount of light
