Default What oil in your PRED?!?!

I'm chaning my oil now, and I went to the Polaris dealer and bought Bel Ray EXS 0-40 oil for it. Niether of my Polaris dealers had the PS4 oil so my buddy runs this in his pred and says it works fine. I run belray in my lt's and they hold up FANTASTIC! Just wondering what oil everyone is running and what weights?

I also have the same problem of getting the PS4 oil. NO ONE around here has it. I know I could get it shipped from a dealer, and who knows how far away they are, but it would cost about half of what the oil itself costs for shipping. I've been using the Polaris 0W-40 synthetic that is used for all other Polaris Quads. Everything seems O.K. for now. Hope it doesn't wreck my motor. I'm thinking of switching to the Amsoil 0-40 though.

Just put the bel ray in and ran it, it runs fine, no slip, and it has no problems shifting. Might have to start buying it by the case to save some $$$. 03Polarispredator, I was about to do the same thing you did, but when I talked it over with my buddy, he told me not to use the 0/40 cause it doesn't have any protectants for the clutch. Polaris's have never ran a wet clutch b4 and thats why they used the PS4.

dinksdairy, thanks for the info, will quit using the Polaris 0-40. I think I'll try the bel-ray myself.
