Default Polaris 700

I recently purchased a 700, after having owned a 500. My question to all you folks is this, off idle, you have to give my 700 a heck of a lot of gas just to get the thing rolling. I have taken it to my dealer and they have ridden it, they tell me that all 700's are manufactured with the hesitation built in. It is not a belt slip type of situation, you can really feel it hook up, I mean the splines and all of that inside the tranny, when it does, it's off and running like a scalded cat. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this little quirk in the 700's.

Yep! Just the nature of the beast. Nothing to worry about.

I always tap the gas a little until I feel it hook up before I get on it in high range, that will also keep it from clunking so much when it engages. It seems to hook up much faster in low range and I barely notice the clunking.
