Default Need advise on diaphragm assy inside carb

I have aquestion about the diaphragm in the carb. This is on my friends 2000 ds We are working on the jetting and having a hard time with it. It seems to me that the diaphragm does not seat right when you put the cap on the carb. The diaphragm on my raptor sits right down in the grove and is not all worped up. I know there are guys out ther that have both bikes. Need to know if the diaphragm is bad or if it just does not fit as good as the raptors. It seems to me that the diaphragm should sit in the round groove perfectly and the the cap goes on, this one does not do this. Any help would be great Thanks Raptrman!

Mine allways seemed a little big and I had to work it around a little to get it tucked in.
