I just bought a 2003 Red and Black Raptor, and i was wondering where, if at all, i could find a Black front grille cover for the stock plastics, instead of red..... anyone know?

well yea, i just didnt know if Yamaha supplied Black [not carbon fiber] Front Grille covers, all ive ever seen are red, blue, or carbon fiber from Yamaha.

 

Correct, they only have blue, silver, carbon and red. I think you want the carbon one. How could you not love the look of that?

If you really want a black one, you have 2 options -
1) buy a can of spray paint
2) have a custom auto paint shop do it for you

I have the carbon one and it definetly looks trick, well it did until I forgot to put the screws back on and one day a was riding and heard a sound like a ran it over but who knows[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

Just order a 02 LE grill they are black.

 

take it off, wipe it down with alcohol, and paint it with krylon. worked for me. the dealer made me do it!!!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
take a look at my gallery page, i painted a blue one dark grey. worked out well.

 

The silver ones are just painted black ones. I took a preasure washer and all the silver paint came right off. Now I have a nice black grill cover.
