kawasaki 650 or grizzly 660?

He needs to ride them both...they are very different machines. If he like to ride around in 2 wheel and slide the back end a lot...go with the Prairie. If rock crawling is the thing...The Grizz might have an edge. The Prairie can go just about anywhere (plan your line) and it is brutally fun! Good luck!

Of the two I have only ridden the Grizzly. From my experience the Grizzly is an awesome machine, its very fast, slides well (for an IRS quad) is very comfortable, and looks great. From what I've read the Prairie is better for the sport side and the Grizzly is better for the utility side of things.

It depends what he likes doing.. I personally love my 03 Prairie's sportiness.. My friend has a 02 Grizzly ad he says the prairie is a lot more quieter than he grizz and has more of a punch off the line

Im with you prairie slider i can't keep the smile off my face when im rideing my kawi, wouldn't trade it for the world... well maybe a 700 but i doubt it! Go ride bolth of them then make up your mind. (just my opinion i hated the grizzly cuz it didn't have a reverse over ride) But other than that it's one bad machine!!!

BP...Not being a smartass in any way but the 2 machines are way to different to compare. If the question was Griz or Sportsman then you would be on the money. I dont understand how someone can be stuck between an IRS and a solid axle ATV. They are both great quads but they do ride and handle very differently. Go out and ride both. You have to get on both quads to decide what is best for you. Find a dealer that has a small track out back or somewhere that you can do more than ride in a circle around a parking lot. You wont go wrong with either but 1 will probably make you happier than the other, you've got to figure out which 1 that is.
