Polaris TB 250
#1
I'm looking at getting a Polaris TB 250. (Brand new 2003) My only concern is that it is air cooled, and my choice of riding locations are limited to rolling hills near a small river. Dont get me wrong. This is a great spot. But not alot of room for going all out. My quistion is. Will the 250 over heat, if I'm not riding it all out most of the time. And is there a tech or something that I can get for it, that lets me have a better understanding of the engine temp and such. Thanks. I'm new to this, and dont want to get the wrong machine.

Polaris' 250 air-cooled engine is great. I've ridden with many trail blazers and personally used to own a '90 trailboss and a '93 trailboss with that same engine. I've ridden them on 95 degree days at slow speeds through 4 ft. grass. You may not have the power that a liquid cooled engine of the same size would have, but you really can't overheat that engine. But the quad, no worries, and ride on!
