Default Re-valve or buy new

Just want to know if revalving my rear shock on my 03 Raptor will be as good or close to buying a new one. Has anyone done this and what do you think?

tcs can do a conversion to your rear shock that allows more travel etc. I'm sure other companies do this as well. I had it done and it works great, I spent the rest of the money on BEER.
