This isn't good news to here. Im fixing to put my 5th weekend of sand plus an already 1 week of every day desert ridding on my billet alum 42 tooth sandwinder. So far it still looks like it's brand new. And I am no way easy on my stuff. I have found and seen that a lot of people run their chains way to lose. Mine is 7/8" total play. Not 7/8" down and then another 7/8" up. Stay a little on the tight side. Your sprockets and chain will be happier. Mine is an 01 and my origanal chain and sprokets are like new.
