Default 15 tooth sprocket

I have a baja with the stock tires and i run ITP holeshote XC tires will a 15 tooth and 20 inch tires be geared to low. I have a woods rev limiter. The gearing calculator say it would run 78mp at 8500rpm and 84mph at 8500. I think that it would accellerate quicker with a 15 but will first be to low.

Depends on where you ride. I also have a fifteen and stock tires and RWR CDI and I like it but I ride on the dunes and don't need the top end of fifth. As far as first gear goes I never use it anyway, but yes it is very low.

I run 15/40 20" tires and like it. I still hardly see 5th, and slow technical riding over obstacles, rocks, logs, can now be done in 1st gear without clutch feathering. 2nd gear is low enough now that I never need 1st gear for hard steep climbs on hardpack either. i do miss 16/40 gearing sometimes, but for the most part I like the lower 15/40.

i Run a 15 up front and 20" RAZRS on dirt and 20" haulers in sand, in the sand it works perfect, i would not go with any other combo.. the only problem is when on the dirt with the Razrs, lots of time the wheelspin is alot and it hits the rev limiter (RWR) real quick, if im on some kind of terrain the tires can hook up well on then its not problem but on gravel roads, hard pack etc the tires just spin real bad and it hits the rev limiter real quick, So i like the low end power and am stickin with it but if i had to recommend something i would say run the 15 in the sand, but keep the 16 in the dirt if your stayin with 20"ers like me or keep the 15 tooth on and have 20"sand tires and 22" dirt tires
