Default Help: Looking at a Raptor tommorrow

Sup everyone,
I've sold the warrior and I'm looking at an 02 Raptor tommorrow. Its seems like a good deal but I haven't actually seen it yet. I need some help for what to look for on the quad, good or bad signs, any help appreciated, thanks

Patrick

Look for abuse. Look for abuse again. Look at the airbox and has it been maintained, check the chain for adjustment or what's left. Check the rear disk brake pads to see how much is left. Has the owner any records of oil change, etc. Check the frame out/ A arms for abuse.

If you suspect anything I would walk. There will always be another Raptor for sale.

What Chet said plus look at the color of the oil on the dipstick. And again, if you have any doubt "Walk"

wiggle the thing back and forth front and rear. Do it on the ground then put it on a stand(bucket what ever) and check again. Wiggle the a-arms do they move? Make sure you frown and look over with dissapointment to your buying buddy. Play stupid and the bad cop...its a great way to see if the guy will take advantage of you. Once I have money in my pocket I wanna spend and it sucks going home without the new toy, so I take the bad cop to be the spoiler and make sure I don't buy anything I'll regret. Like velocityraptor said...if you have ANY doubt walk.
