Sptman500, Mag500, or Scram500. Can you help me decide? I am looking for the most versatile quad. I want to be able to do the most with my quad. I want the quad to be the best(most reliable, powerful)on the offroad and in the mud. I also want my quad to satisfy my thirst for speed, and not let me down when i want the power. I know none of these will let me down in power for sure. But if you can only see where I am getting at. Please help me decide. My mind keeps changing between the them.

You don't ask for much do you? LOL
Buy a 4x4 Scrambler 500. If you want to haul stuff too, buy a rack for it.

I have a Sportsman 500 its a tank, never has let me down, but its no racer.

I have a '00 sportsman 500 and a '00 scrambler 500. They are both awesome machines. However, if you are looking to do almost any work at all you would probably need either the sportsman or the magnum. I have never ridden a magnum 500 but they are very similar to the sportsman. If you ever haul anything, the scrambler is going to strugle trying to move it because it has no low range on the transmission, also you are more likely to burn a belt up more quickly because it is simply not made to pull much. I once tried to pull one of my friends out of the mud using my scrambler and i noticed smoke coming out of it, and sure enough, it was the belt. As for the racks, the scramblers suspension is not "heavy duty" enough to haul anything to heavy, however, it is much faster than either one and i tend to ride it more than the sportsman.

scr is right,
the scrambler is not designed to work at all. the dealer told my neighbor that if he ever has to tow anyone to keep the speed down and keep the disance short or he's burn his belt up. sure enough he was townin out a wrecked grizzley and he burned up his belt. it does do what it is designed to do very well. and that it GO FAST!!!! i have no chance to keep up with him AT ALL!!!! he even blows away dirt bikes on the trails!!!!!! only thing he doesn't like is the weight. he just isn't able to whip it around like he could his previous quads. his favorite was the wolverine.
the sportmans are nice quads but are TANKS!!!!! i'd pick the mag between the three. it will probably be my next quad......in a few years
hope this helps

This "I was told" stuff, cartman, is not so useful.

I have pulled a Honda for several miles, and several more quads for shorter distances. I've pulled them up hill, I've pulled a trailer and more. The Scrambler does alright.

Now if 70% or even 50% of your Quaddin' is involving a trailer, then the Magnum is the only way to go. But if most of your riding is play time, then the Scrambler is the only way to go.
