Racing Raptors
#1
This weekend we went out to a local cross country trail with some buddies, curtis sparks 686 raptor extend 2 widen 2, raptor with yoshiexhaust, two supertrapp 400ex, kfx 700, and my stock ds with a ron wood arevlimiter, endcap mod and a dyno jet kit with one coil cut of the vacum spring and a open air box. Going down the trail with the new rev limiter I could pull 3rd and 4th gear power wheelies with a 16 tooth sprocket. My bike is really working good and fast as hell in the woods. So my friend with the sparks rappy is mad cause his 3000.00 dollarmotor can't stay with me on the trail. He can smoke you in a drag race by ten bikes or better but a rappy won't handle as good as a ds in the woods. So he was a little upset. Then we hit a gravel road for some friendly drag racing during a break and I race the raptor with the youshi setup and smoked him by 5 bike repeatedly. I can pull around 8600 on topend. before the rev limiter I was losing to him by 3 bike. Hats off to the ron woods cdi.

Wood doesn't have a rev limiter.

yep, technicaly there is no such thing as a "rev-limiter box" for the ds. It's just a CDI. And it just so happens that the woods CDI has no rev limit function.
But don't worry, we knew what you were talking about...
