Howdy. My name is Eric, and I'm new here. My family and I have decided to do a bit more riding this year, so I decided to get myself a bike. Found a fair deal on a machine, but it is not without a small problem. Perhaps you can help.

I am the new owner of an '01 DS. The machine is clean, but has taken a hard hit on right front. Looks like a tree jumped in front of it. Arms have been stressed, but worse yet is the spindle. It is severely bent, and must be replaced. Any suggestions for a source for spindles, OEM or aftermarket? Arms are probably on the list soon, also.

Looks like a lot of good info available here. I'll try to get caught up. We've been motorsports oriented for a long time, but the ATV scene is still new to us. Your assistance is appreciated.

I've got stock upper arms from my '01 DS if you need them.

Thanks, guys.

Update. Upon closer inspection, and time spent with the dial indicator, the problem is merely brake rotor, and caliper/bracket. Spindle is straight. Price tag has decreased. Frame seems straight, and arms, though stressed, show no cracks. Magnafluxing would probably tell more than I want to know, however

Place a few calls tomorrow, or??

Brake parts ideas? Two fairly local dealers. Any good on-line/mail-order sources?

Question list grows, I'll be back

Thanks, we're a RMC customer. The caliper and bracket are a dealer only item, at this point, and as far as I can tell. Got that fixed already. Vice, hammer, and machinist's table, and it's back to OEM spec. Now to go to work on the rotor. You can do a lot with a dial indicator, and a dead blow.
