Default winch on a Z-400

hello i'm new to the forum and just have one quick question.
where can i find a winch mount for a Z-400, have any of you put a winch on a sport quad. my friends ask me why did i get a sport if i'm going to get a winch, but i don't plan on mudbogging. its just that i do ride the trails around my house alot by myself and get a little worried about getting stuck.
thanks, Paul

You're not going to find any winch mounts for sale. You'll have to make one if anything. I think you would have one of the first sport quads with a winch though

I think not Guido, I've seen them on Warriors, Raptors, 400EXs and a 350X!

Wow...I'd like to see a picture of that. Guess I'm too use to riding out here in Arizona. Getting stuck in mud isn't much of a problem. Getting stuck in sand can be but I don't think a winch will help much by yourself.

It shouldn't be to hard to make your own winch mount. Getting stuck in the mud is not a major issue with the Z, its so light you can just lift it out and push it.

You could carry a hand operated winch that hooks on the grab bar or bumper when in use. Maybe you could put a 6 pack rack on the back to carry it in.

The z is so light that you can push it out of most situations but to save money and not add a ton of weight to the machine you can always carry a comealong if you get a little rack on the back. Thats what I did with my lt250
