Guys
I never did tell you that earlier on about 42 miles or so I busted my front gear Case. The outer housing. It broke at the drain plug. I was in a hole and gave her some gas and she made a loud pop and i noticed diff oil floating in the water! I got pulled out and i discoverd the housing on the bottom when i stuck my finger through the skid plate hole it had literaly shot the drain plug out of the housing. I was not 15 minutes into ridding. It was really imbarrasing especially in front of all the honda riders. I imediatley called my shop and told them. They ordered me another one and oput it in. they told me this was their third one this year and it may be a recall on them soon. This was before the brake locker and before the Weld Locker.
Well gues what !!! It happened again!!!
I was going through a hole and realized I could not ease through it, so I backed up and starting going a little faster through it in a strait line and I heard the POP, and I knew right then what it was!!! and sure enough the Sam exact thing happend to me again!!!!!
What is going on with Arctic Cat.
I love My Cat, and I know after seeing it do what it did today before the it broke, It is one Bad Machine
But I have got to say That they are strating to become the worst bike I have ever ridden as far as holding up.
The CV shafts should have broke before the housing does. Thats what they are designed to do! This is rediculous. i am seriously thinking of getting the Grizz 660 or Rincon 650! I dont know that i can stand for this to happen again. And it is not so much it breaking. It is the fact that all the other bikes I ride with have Lockers a Llift and Huge 28 inch tires and they ride their bikes extremly hard and nothing ever happens to them. no so much as a slip.and it is really starting to get to me!! Just thought you should all know

well guys I cracked it open to take a look.
DO NOT LOCK YOUR FRONT END!!! What has happend is the inner housing floats in the outtel housing. The ring gear was pushed down by the pinion and the gears on the ring gear caught the diff drain screw and tore a chunk out off the bottom of the diff. This is the exact same place it did it the last time!! the ring gear just floats. The outter housing is thin and is weak, It looks to be cast alluminum or some sort of pitted metal. When you get your tires in thick nasty mud it puts way to much pressure on the asembly, the pinion simple turns and the ring gear gets pushed downward and catches the screw and BAM!!
Dont use your Brake locker either, It does the same thing. I can see in my housing were the pinion scraped the bottom of the outter housing. This is not good news for the Cats fellows.
I ride with 15 to 20 bikes and all are locked, lawed, lifted or some sort of other radical modification and none of these bikes have any problems!!
Yes the warranty is going to cover it. It is not because it was locked, its because the sub assembt floats and it only able to withstand one tire puling nder pressure. The first time it did this all fours were pulling because i had chewed out the rutts and I hit a log in the mud and t jambed the sun assembly. basically the left wanted to switch the power over to the right and the right wanted to switch the power to the left and BAM!!
I will let you know how it turns out!
ANY ONE NEED A 2003 500i with exactly 50 miles on it?

I will also add this. Evryone and I mean everyone was in disbelief of what i went through with my cat!!
If there was a diff that macthed the ration of ths pinion and the diff would hold up, this would be one awesome bike!!!
it did some evil things in the mud today!! But is it worth tearing up a 600.00 front diff.
Actually I can get one for 549.99 with tax, if warranty does not cover it.
