4 stroke overhead cam tech question?
#1
Need Help!
I have a stock Honda 350x four stroke which has an overhead cam. My cousin rode it without oil to the top end. I broke it down and the cam bearing surfaces on the head & valve cover are about 5/10,000 th's of an inch worn down. Cam looks fine and i'm replacing the rockers. I've cleaned it up (smoothed out slight scaring) and it looks good except for the extra clearance around where the cam rides.
Tech Question: If I slap it back together will this make a significant difference? Will it run? What's the draw back and dangers? What are possible solutions?

I'm pretty sure its junk. the cam is going to be just as worn out as the rockers. the only thing you can do is replace or regrind the cam. the rockers can't be repaired.
