I bought a tether kill switch and the directions were no help at all! I attached the short wire to the frame and the long wire spliced to the black wire with a yellow stripe. Now my 400ex wont start. The fuse is good. whered i go wrong? thanks

When you cut the striped wire you left one end disconected when it should have been spliced into the connection, or you have the wires crossed
does the bike fire with the switch out?

You mean that wire i cut was supposed to be connected ? I just cut it and spliced one end to the new wire. If it was supposed to be a 3-way deal, that would explain everything.

ya its a 3 way deal. what i did was cut the black wire with the yellow stripe and striped both ends and then striped the long wire then conceted all of them using 3 circle wire conecters then conected the ground.

dont even need to cut it,,,,just expose the wire and connect to it (same as 3way deal),,,,,,just to ground it out
