Hey, heading out tomorrow and can't figure out the best way from I75North to Logan/chapmanville, WV.
Anybody got any advice?
1) Would it be faster to stay on the interstates, by going to Louisville and picking up I64 to Huntington, WV then south down state 10?
2)I75 to London, Ky to state 80 to 119 north?
3)I75 to I81 to Kingsport, TN, then north on 23/119? This one looks real slow with little towns and twisty road, but is the most direct route.

Thanks for any help! Gotta make the whole trip tomorrow!

 

Don't go down 10 from Huntngton, W.V. Looks like your 2nd choice would be best. Take 119 out of Pikeville, Ky. Mostly 4 lane roads thur Williamson to the exit to Logan.

I would try 75 too Lexington (4-4.5 hours max away from Logan), 64 too huntington, and 10 (a little twisty but good driving) from Huntington too Chapmanville and then Logan on the way down. On the way back, I would try 77-70-and then 75. They look about the same.

 

OOPS.... we are probably too late, he gone already(I bet).

ended up taking the most direct route, 75 -81- 119/23. Must have been 4 hours from knoxville to logan with only a few miles of slow 2 lane. I might try going through London, Ky onto the daniel boone pkwy to pikeville next time just to see how long that takes.
