Default Designing the 2nd sportsman 4x4 Mode ??

Am I the only one who thinks it shouldn't be to difficult to add a second type of 4x4 mode to the Sportsman series?? Like the grizzly with it's front differential lock, it would be nice to set the AWD switch to another mode that instantly locks the front wheels before you decide to jump into the mudhole, instead of getting in there first and then waiting for the front wheels to lock in (hopefully before it's to late). Seems like the idea could be figured out, just by someone smarter than me. You'd think you could "cheat" the sensors with a 2nd mode to think the rear wheels have already slipped or "jump out" the sensors and put the front wheels into action. Anyone as curious as I am about figuring this out? Seems like alot of people would be in on it if it was available. There's alot of sportsmans out there. Let's hear your ideas.

Yeh, you could trick it by changing the gearing or tire size to where the ratio is at 1:1 but, you would always be in 4wd and wouldn't have the ability to shift out of 4wd and could cause possible damage to the 4wd system. You could also wedge in the front before going into that mudhole, just like you do to go down a steep hill. I will send you a PM explaining how to do that.

Sounds good in theory but, for the most part it can't be easily done. The front hubs will only lock when the rear tires/drivetrain spins at a faster rate then the front tires/hubs. This part of the system is purely mechanical. All the AWD switch does is arms the front hubs. The only way to change the way this works would be a redesign of the mechanical aspect of the way the front hubs lock....
