BLASTER FRONT FENDERS ????
#1
Before when I was at top speed, my blaster a 03 model rode fine, after a few mods it runs a lot faster now and top speed the front end shakes about every 5 seconds.
I was wondering if this is because of the design of the front fenders? Is this why some people cut theirs off the front?

I just recently cut the front fenders on my Blaster to a race cut style, right at the flare, leaving a small edge. Ive gotten pretty good at doing magic on fenders with a Saws-All. Ive been doing it for everyone lately. I did a wicked job on a LT250R, ill have pics of that and my blaster up soon. Personally, i think it actually does effect the wind resistance t a certain extent. But most of all it helps me to keep my eyes in contact with my front wheels on the MX track.

Thats what mine are Race cut right at the Flare. If your not a puss about getting dirty do it its a nice mod. It may get rid of your problem also it will give you a bit more accl/topspeed(prob not noticable i dont think..i bought my blaster allready race cut..)Also If the fronts are dont why not the back Mine are cut mayber .25in or .50in before the read mounts..I likes..

Really, i cant tell the difference on my blaster or my raptor on how much mud i get on me as compared to when they had factory cut fenders. I think that if you're getting into THAT much mud, you better be ready to get muddy anyway. One reason your blaster may be shaking is because the front width is just rediculously narrow. I Flipped my front rims on my Blaster, as you might have heard of people doing, and it helps out quite a bit. But for the '03s i dont think you can do that due to the disk brakes, but im not sure. If you're not THAT rough with your Blaster and not getting that much air too often, then i would seriously think about getting some wheel spacers for the front, and ive heard of a Stock Banshee axle for the rear... might wanna research that, but i think you would get maybe 2" in the rear and say, 3" up front with that combo. After that there would be definately no use or the stock fenders. With just flipped rims the front tires stick out far enough past the fenders for them to not even have much of a "fender" effect. I dont know about how much you plan on doing to your Blaster, but i would say after widening your setup, get a steering stabilizer from either Gibson or Denton. I have a Gibson stabilizer on my Raptor.... WOW, what a difference. Ive got plenty of little blaster tricks... ive had mine around a while... lemme know

Chances are good your blaster has an alignment problem, its pretty common as it doesnt get checked when it's assembled.
It's not trying to leave orbit, trust me. my raptor was the same way. drag out the tape measure and check it out... i'll bet good money it's toe in or out. very common on yamahas.
and top speed and MX dont seem to go together.
and some of us need those fenders cuz we need glasses to see.....some of you characters want to hit a muddy track with me without glasses? hehehe
