Default Actual wet weight?

Just some interesting dry weight claims compared to actual wet weights I thought you guys would find interesting.

Quad claimed dry weight / actual wet weight

DS650----------- 470 / 516

440 Cannibal--- 375 / 396

400EX----------- 375 / 399

Z400------------ 372 / 410

Predator------- 415 / 444

Raptor---------- 398 / 451

Banshee------- 386 / 425

Wet weights were measured by ATV SPORT magazine and were with a full tank of gas.

Is it just me or are the Japanese manufactures a little liberal with there weights in an attempt to seam lighter then they actually are?

700-dry is 740. add fuel coolant and oil, winch mount and winch, 28 inch Mudlites, topped off by my 220 lb butt, , has easily passed the 1000lb mark. They should call it a half-ton. I definitely don't want that rolling over on top of me. Again. Last time I bent my leg so far I can't believe it didn't break.

Last time I checked, as far as utility machines wt = traction. Hence the reason for those bags of sand in the rear of a 4x2 pickup, or trunk of a rear wheel drive car in the winter. As long as you've got a winch with some snort, pack on the pounds....and power.

exactly! The weight may have something to do with the fact that I can pull my friends Raptor out when he's stuck, but he can't pull me out. Even though his Raptor is faster, and is therefore a better quad.

I was mostly referring to the Raptor weighing 17 pounds less then a Predator in every magazine article so far. To the unknowing they would just think it was true, when the Raptor actually weighs 7 pounds more then the Predator.
On sport quads weight is a big issue.
