where do you put the gauge?? did a search too, and it didnt help me

valve spec ?'s. i did a search too, and it didnt help me
sorry, but i dont know where exactly i stick the gauge to check the clearence.... i have it at top dead center so where do i put the gauge to check for clearence? help asap!!!
