If you get a cap like this and run the hose from the cap to the inside of your steering stem be sure to drill a hole in the bottom of the steering stem.
I learned that it can fill up with gas and the next time you plan on doing a wheelie.........you get soaked with about a half a quart of gas, shocking you enough to flip over on the grab bar and cause you to crash into a bunch of pine trees at a high rate of speed........ Very exciting experiance I must add.......

drill a hole in your stock cap- get a brass fitting from the local hardware store and epoxy it into place. Cheap and effective.

and ugly? do you just drill it out for the size of the top of the fitting, so the base of the fitting cant go though the drilled hole?

I drilled mine out to fit exactly ( nice to have a full drill index) and only had epoxy on the underside where it isn't seen. it looked clean. I don't have the cap any more- Gary from TVI needed it @ 4- stroke wars, so some 760 is running around with it on.

Why do this at all? The tank is vented - they just vented the tank instead of the cap so you don't have to screw with it when removing the cap. Then they went and wrapped the vent tube around the tank twice to elliminate the potential for fuel loss or water entry in a rollover, which people say gets pinched, so drill a small hole in the tank cover in front of the cap and run the vent tube through it, cut off excess, and put wherever you want. Looks better than anything in my opinion, costs nothing.
