Lose Bolts!
#4
What I did was I took that bolt and clip bull$hit off and replaced it with an allen bolt and nut with a built in washer. i got the nut behind the plastic with a long needle nose pliers and held it with that while I tightend it up with an allen wrench. Looks good and no worries about comming loose.

i put on red loctite but when i went to take them out, one side spun itself a hole in the plastic threads instead of breaking loose the loctite, that was a pain in the **** to get off, dont use too much, lol. Sean

I used blue loctite (small portions) a couple times and it seemed to stay on the screws because they don't come loose and I don't use it anymore. Don't use too much on these or you won't get them off again.

I just keep an eye on mine. I use hex bolts there, so when one does start coming loose I can tighten it a little by hand so it stays put until I get to a wrench.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the threads in the little clips in the tank cover are starting to get pretty sloppy on mine. I think I may have to come up with something more creative this summer. Those little bolts and my headlight (broke it again this weekend) are the only perpetual problems I have with my DS.
