DS 90 4-stroke Air Filter options?
#1
My buddy's kid has a 02 DS90 4-stroke. The stock air filter setup is poor to say the least.
Has anybody found a better solution? I can not find any K&N or Uni options.
I sure am glad this bike was not really made by Bombardier because it sure has a few thing I don't care for.

There are a couple of options. But you will have to re jet or use a washer to restrict the air flow. That is using 1.5 inch uni on the end of the breather toob under the seat. or carb mount it as I have done. I have all the jets and many parts. Make sure he removes the spark arrester screen that thing is a major restrictor of HP.

Musthavefn,
I saw on a different topic that you did great mods thru MQ Racing of Ohio.
Here are a few questions.
Is MQ the place to get the air filter?
Do you have a Uni part #?
Did you use an outerware on the filter?
Is the carb mount the same filter as the tube mount? Custom adapter?
What exact jetting did you use with the filter carb mounted? We are at sea level to 1000' altitude.
Thanks

MQ racing has the air filter. I got mine at a little motorcycle shop. If I remember right it was a small filter with a 1.5 inch opening. I will double check when I go to my shop tonight. I will also check what jet was the last one I used in the original carb. As you may have read prior I put a 24mm carb with a racing exhaust then went and bought a Blaster for my son. But kept the DS90 for my younger 7 year old son who will be starting to ride it this weekend. I did and still have a problem with the new carb from MQ that was supposed to fit perfect but did have problems with the throttle cable hitting the gas tank. They said they have new cables with a 90 degree bend at the carb but they are on back order and now it's 6 month latter. I did make my own temporary one.
