Taskers Gap VA ride and 300ex holeshot race on V-Force
#1
If anyone has ever been to Taskers Gap near Woodstock VA, you know it is VERY rocky, the V-Force handled it very well. I was riding with quite a few other utility bikes and handled all but the largest stuff with ease. One of the guys had a 300ex and wanted to race. He was a small framed guy and actually a very good rider. He knew there was no chance of winning an all out race, but he wanted to see if he could holeshot me. His theory was that a clutched, light bike and light rider would smoke the V-Force out of the hole. We ran 3 times on asphalt that had a light coating of gravel on it, here were the results:
Race 1 he said go: He pulled a tire length in front for about the first 20 feet and I went by like I had been shot out of a cannon
Race 2 I said go: We left the line at the same time, it was never even close, I pulled away and at 50 yards I was ~ 2-3 bikes ahead and pulling away hard
Race 3 he said go: (see race number 1 for results)
I'm new to the forum and will be posting local ride reports when I get the chance. Any riders near Winchester VA or Martinsburg WV PM me and we'll ride!!
