The word on the street from yamaha is that they are coming out with a banshee 500 in july. Also rumors of a bigger raptor and a smaller raptor. I don't know if it has been posted about the banshee 500 yet.

 

Anyone else heard that info? I know the 450 raptor has been talked about but is there any truth in the bigger engine in the raptor?

 

just a rumor...and besides they already have a big and little raptor. The 660 and the kiddy bike

 

Well this was coming from a pretty reliable source. That is why I am asking about it. I know the banshee 500 is true

 

i hope your reliable sourse isn't the april adition of 4wheelatv action....that would be sweet if they finally updated the shee for the last couple years. but i don't see it hapening. the rumer iv heard and see as being the most possible is a new 450 raptor just my 2 cents

Well from the sounds of it, my source said that the banshee 500 is for sure but hadn't heard anything about the 450.

 

Well...to me it wouldn't make much sense to improve on the Banshee if...don't quote me on this....they're phasing out the 2 strokes by 2007....correct me if I'm wrong.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

well if they put direct injection like what skidoos doing to there semiderect injection slnowmobiles 2stroke could live on....i wish
but ya 06 is the emision crackdown deadline wich 2strokes don't pass unless they have DI or SDI so sadly the shee will probably have to end production.
i think they could still sells lots of updated shee's.

 

They said something about a banshee 500 in the april issue of ATV Action. It was an april fools joke, they photoshopped a RZ500 engine into a shee frame.
