I would like to know what you have and how you like it. I'm comparing after market swing arms, 4.5" JTM extension and having stock swing arm extended. I like to race the hills, alittle drag racing, some little jumps and riding in the dunes. Looking for what length and type you have and recomend. Thanks

From what I understand having the factory arm extended will not hold up for jumps. The welds break.

If you take the stock to someone that knows how to weld I guarantee it will hold up!
If you notice in my pics you will see that my bike has stock swing arm with 4 inch block welded in. The same guy that done this also done a friends, and his Rappy came off of Delbarton (a hill climb in WV) from the 500ft mark down to the 200ft mark. This bent his axle and twisted his swingarm up at the forks where the shock bolts, but the weld held up great and was poker straight up to the twist in the forks. Thats a hard hit that never phased it.

The stock will hold up and save you big $$$. The guy that done mine only charged 140$

I had mine extended by Bullet Fab (CA) and some hair-line cracks began appearing. The work looked top-notch but who knows.........I'm not a big fan of welded extensions for abusive riding applications.

Dollar-for-dollar (I found out the hard way) a Tucker is a nice way to go. I just got a +4, fully loaded (pivot and twin axle bearings installed), chromolly, beautifly powdercoated, arm overnite delivered for $616 total. It would be $525 without the shipping cost and if ya re-use the pivot bearings. I spent $275 getting the stocker extended only to have it start cracking. Since the welded extension is not guarenteed to hold up - seems you'd be money ahead going with the Tucker first off. He has a lifetime guarentee too !

Potential problem with extended swing-arms: I'm starting to see some paint flaking around the welds at the upper rear shock mount mount on the frame - no cracks - YET - but could be signs of serious stress - we'll see !?

Hope this helps.....
