what are the advantages of big tyres except for good looks. iam thinking of buying itp589m/s for my grizz660 i cant decide to get 26 or 27 if there was two standard 660 which would perform better the one with 26 or 27 in mud and snow also cimbing steep muddy hills the size i was tinking of is 11inch all round im not botherd if they make the steering heavy thanks for any help chunk.

To me its all about ground clearance. If you NEED a tall tire then you might like them. If you want soemthing with more of a "sporty" ride then go with a shorter tire. A taller tire will increase your top speed and a shorter tire will increase your quickness.
