Default Possible good news for p650 owners

I was checking out the buykawasaki.com parts diagrams on the 700 and 650 and was comparing clutch components and so on. The 650 has the identical clutch as the 700. Every part down to the weights and springs is the same. The only thing different is the belt part number. But it should be possible to make it work. If the belt is wider you would just have to run an extra shim or two but i would think it could be used. The 700 belt is supposed to be stronger and better then the 650 so its definatly worth a try!

That is great news!! As the V force grows in popularity, more manufacturers will produce aftermarket parts for it. As soon as someone produces a tuneable clutch set-up, you know the Prairie owners will be snapping it up.

If they were chromed you would think the part number would have been different. But if they are chromed thats even better yet. Would give the 650 owners somthing to look forward to if there clutches ever wore out. But the point i was trying to make was a better stronger belt for the 650.
